Residential trips are offered to children in Year 4 and Year 6.   This is an opportunity for children to develop their skills in cooperation and teamwork as well as develop independence.  They are an exciting part of our outdoor and adventurous curriculum.

Year 6 Resdiential – Ullswater Outdoor Adventure

In Year 6 children will visit the Ullswater Outdoor Activity Centre for 5 days. Here the children will engage in a range of adventurous activities including hill trekking, rock climbing, canoeing, den building and underground caving. This residential builds on the previous skills and experiences the children had in Year 4.

Y4 Residential – PGL Newby Whisk

In Year 4 children will have the opportunity to visit the PGL Outdoor Activity Centre in Newby Whisk for a 3 day mid week visit.  Here the children have opportunities to try out activities such as rock climbing, caving, canoeing and archery in a purpose built environment. For many children this will be their first time away from home and they will have many opportunities to engage in activities designed to promote team work skills in a safe and purpose built environment.
